About Me
I’m Karen, thank you for dropping by my site.I have always been interested in mental health and how closely related the mind and body are. After struggling previously with depression and anxiety I had Counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy but I just didn’t feel they were right for me – they focussed too much on how I got here and not how I could move forward.For some time I thought maybe I was just so damaged that medication was the only answer.
Then I realised there must be other options to try, something that could help me, so I went in search of other solutions.I decided to do an Introduction to Counselling Course which gave an overview of lots of different therapies and while many seemed to focus on the problem and how it arose, Hypnotherapy seemed to be focussed on the solution, looking to help people move forward rather than focussing on the past. This intrigued me as I always thought Hypnosis was just for entertainment or possibly helping people lose weight or stop smoking.I was so amazed by the impact of Hypnotherapy and the range of issues that can be helped I decided I wanted to be able to help people and I am now a Certified Hypnotherapist helping people overcome many challenges. I get so much satisfaction from helping people every day.As an ex-smoker who knows how amazing it feels to be free – it is not a struggle for me not to smoke, I just no longer want one and after 25 years smoking that is a wonderful feeling.
And until recently I struggled with my weight – I tried every diet I heard about and nothing worked for long. Until I realised it was my mind-set that needed work. Now I am amazed by what my body can do (not just how it looks), I can eat whatever I want (as long as I really want it) and I am fitter and healthier than I have ever been.I love what I do, and I love all the feedback I get from people I have helped – knowing I helped them change their lives for the better is just the best feeling. I put in my calendar to send you an update. My session was about a month ago to ease off the high sugar and high fat processed foods.

Karen has helped me with anxiety due to health problems. She taught me to breathe and become calm. Her voice is soothing and her explanation of everything is clear and concise. I am using the technique to calm myself when things get too much. I highly recommend her to anyone with problems they think are insurmountable.

What a great experience! Having never tried hypnotherapy before I did not know what to expect and to be honest, I was a little nervous. I know now I had nothing to worry about. Karen explained everything first and I eased into it. Never at any time did I feel like I lost control, it just felt really relaxing. The whole experience was just lovely and it really helped with the anxiety I was feeling at the time. My session was via video chat and it worked really well. Karen gave me good advice and tips on how to keep on track. I was actually amazed at how much calmer I immediately felt and got the best sleep afterwards. I would recommend to anyone and I already look forward to my next session to help focus on weight loss.

Karen is great, she makes you feel so comfortable from the initial consultation. I am quite sceptical and had lots of questions about how it would all work but it genuinely does! Karen is really professional and works around your schedule. I had approached Karen for help with weight loss - I am a total comfort eater and mindless snacker! However since I had my hypnotherapy session I haven't felt the want or need to indulge in crisps or biscuits and feel healthier choices are coming to me naturally. I feel really thankful to Karen for working with me and super grateful that I tried it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️HM
No more Unhealthy Snacks!!.. I have had a late night snacking habit in front of the T.V. for a long long time!! (we all know that cup of tea and treat for the 9pm T.V. drama).. One session with Karen, I only occassionally snack and if I do, I make healthier choices fruit & nuts instead of crisps & chocolate.
I am feeling the benefit with some weight loss and knowing I have a healthier diet.CH

I have never done hypnotherapy before and I was bit nervous, and didn't really know if it will work. I have asked Karen if she can help me with my worrying all the time and she said let's do it, let's make you more relaxed.
The experience was something else, I could hear what Karen was saying all the time, I never felt like I lost control over my body, I was just incredibly relaxed.
The following week was really good challenge to see if and how this session worked and I was pleasantly surprised when I was not losing sleep over everything what was happening.
I definitely would do that again and would highly recommend Karen.
